2023.04.01 16:22 ragecorn Trial separation while living together?
My husband (28) and I (27) have been together for 11 years married for 6. The love between us has been dwindling. Not sure if it’s life’s pressures or what but we both are feeling unappreciated by each other.
I love him but am finding I’m not in love with him the way I used to be. He never makes time for me anymore. Always out with his friends or out to the gym. We work shift work so it’s difficult to line our schedules up. This month we only had one full day off together. Any evenings that we would have had together he scheduled a gym thing, had friends over for cards, went to others houses etc. I’ve expressed numerous times that I miss him and that I want to spend time with him but he says that unless I “plan” something then he will continue to go off and do as he wants. He does not consider sitting in and watching a movie a plan. I actually don’t remember the last time we just relaxed together.
Yesterday we had that full day off and he complained about the house and literally just puttered the entire day and would not come spend time with his child or I. He tells me that I’m lazy and that all I want to do is sit on the couch and there is stuff to be done. Like look, I get that. But this is our ONE DAY off this entire month let’s just relax together or go do something as a family. I’m 5 1/2 months pregnant and chasing a toddler and yes I’m tired! I work full time on top of it all.
I’m just so over it. I want to show him I’m seriously considering leaving. But I also love him and don’t want to do this to our kids. I’m thinking of moving my banking separate and to move into the spare bedroom and trial a separation. But I don’t know if I’m just being dramatic. I am hormonal and emotional and I just don’t know what to do. I can’t live my entire life feeling like this. I’m so lonesome and hurt. I feel like it’s been years of this and I’m just at my breaking point.

2023.04.01 16:22 NighteyesIV Pre-Op to 1DPO Journey!
Continued in comments!!!
Now that I'm awake for a few hours without oxy, I thought I'd share my experience fully before I forget it all! This will also help me journal when I'm ready to sit up :)
I'm on my phone so I apologize for any glaring spelling errors, my autocorrect sucks.
Day Before surgery: my leave began the day before so I woke up early and had a bowl of cereal for breakfast and proceeded to sit in bed anxious about the phone call from the nurse. She thankfully called around 9:45 to confirm the time of surgery and my eating instructions. After that call I was so relieved I pooped twice 😅 I had started miralax on Tuesday one cap full a day to help soften things up for surgery on Friday 3/31.
I spent the rest of the day cleaning the house and keeping my mind off of things and I'll say I wasn't anxious at all! If you've seen my prior posts, I was one of the most anxious people on this sub lol
I had a Chia Banana Boost smoothie from Tropical Smoothie cafe for lunch and later a bit of toast with some butter because that always helps my bowels start.
My husband got home from work and made me a seasoned chicken breast and white rice for dinner. I drank about 80oz of liquid throughout the day, including some Gatorade.
At 9PM I took my first pre-op shower with Dial soap and went to bed at 10PM. My alarm went off at 3:30 so I could do my second pre-op shower and we were on the road by 4AM.
Surgery day 3/31: The drive there was miserable because it was pouring rain and we were on a 2 lane road with some construction, but my husband was very patient and we got there at 5:10, twenty minutes ahead of schedule
5:30AM: checked in with the front desk who took my husband's name and cell phone and sent him a test text to ensure he'd receive updates during and after the surgery. She also set expectstions for timing.
6:15AM: There were three women in the waiting room including me, and we were all called at the same time to walk to pre-op like a little school field trip. Our partners all walked with us and we each had a little bed with a curtain for all the pre-op stuff
6:30-7:30AM: Things were hectic! I introduced myself to so many people but everyone was wide awake and cheerful, and I had quite a few laughs even through the discomfort of some of the stuff. The nurse who got my IV going traded tattoo stories with my husband and I while she tried three different spots and finally got an IV into my tiny veins on my right wrist! My left hand was a big ole bruise but didn't end up working out lol. She gave my clindamycin after a thorough discussion about all my allergies, a Tylenol, saline, and a pill explained to help with my urethra? I don't quite remember the details.
Next came a lovely woman from research to ask if I was interested in the University's genetic library. I enthusiastically asked to participate and signed off on blood draw in the OR to contribute to the library and future research regarding chronic pain and women's health, which felt awesome!
After her the resident came with another doctor to discuss the surgery in detail. We went over the two types of surgery I was consenting for, exactly what each entailed, and what parts would be removed. She was impressed with my knowledge and really gave me an in depth discussion which was so nice and made me feel at ease. We established that my tubes coming out were a priority and therefore the surgeon would likely chose laparoscopic to avoid the potential of the tubes being too high to remove through a fully vaginal procedure.
We discussed pain management in full, and she explained the average prescription for oxy but said "I am happy to prescribe whatever amount you feel is necessary for your recovery", which was amazing. I settled on 9 pills with the caveat that I could call for more.
The doctor that was with her was male, but he was insanely friendly and I asked point blank what pelvic exams would be performed while I was under. She calmly explained that there would be no students present for my exam but all three (surgeon, doctor, and resident) would perform a pelvic exam as it is a very important part of the process. I agreed and they noted in my chart that I had a history of SA and would be taken care of and respected.
Next came the surgeon! She gave me a big hug and introduced herself to my husband and hugged him too. She held my hand and asked me if I was ready and I told her about my fear of doing the vaginal because I wanted my tubes out and she laughed and said "girl those are the first things coming out! Don't you worry I'm going to give you four tiny, neat incisions and we'll pull those cancer factories right out!" I felt so at peace with my decision to have her as my surgeon and she left me with another hug and promised to make sure my husband got plenty of updates
Finally, my anesthesiology team showed up. Two absolutely fabulous women who talked a mile a minute just like I do and we were all in stitches from laughing about the silliest things. She noted I get nauseous easily and picked an anesthesia that had a lower rate of nausea. She gave me an anti-nausea pill, an anxiety pill, and then said she'd be back to wheel me to the OR with the whole team.
7:30: My husband took my belongings and I gave him one more kiss and took off my glasses. Then they wheeled me to the OR. I remember a room full of bright lights and it was quite cold, and it felt like I was in a medical TV show with the POV camera as things were lowered around me. I have no memory of being moved to the bed but I do believe they did it before I was under. There were probably 8 people in the room all talking and it felt chaotic but not unpleasant. The anesthesiologist gave me an oxygen mask and said "breathe into this for some better oxygen" and I took make 3 breaths and was out cold.
11:30AM (according to my husband): I was in the recovery area and slowly coming to. I'd say it took about an hour for me to be fully awake and able to speak coherently. It felt like I was coming in and out of a dream, and every time I talked it got a little easier to annunciate. I had mild cramping but no other pain to speak of.

Welcome!
Welcome to
VaultHuntersMinecraft, the subreddit dedicated to all things Vault Hunters, including Sky Vaults, casual mode, fan art, lore and gameplay.
What is Vault Hunters?
Vault Hunters (VH) is a Minecraft modpack created by Iskall85 and his dev team. It’s a different take on modded Minecraft that uses features and game mechanics from PvE style games like, for example, Diablo and Path of Exile to create a completely new Minecraft experience.
Vault Hunters is structured around running Vaults: monster-filled caverns which the player must enter, loot, and exit or complete the objective before the time runs out.
The ultimate goal of the modpack is to collect all 25 unique Vault Artifacts and use them to run and complete the Final Vault. The main way of getting these Artifacts is finding them in the Reward Crates which you can get by completing the objective in a normal vault.
Because of this, the main gameplay element of VH is running Vaults. By doing so, the player will obtain not only Artifacts but also more and better loot. This loot will enable you to obtain better tools, weapons and gear which makes you run faster, loot more efficiently, hit harder and take less damage. It also enables the player to build farms and other contraptions which will improve everyday life outside of the Vault.
Furthermore Vault Hunters has what you can call a tech tree where you have to collect certain items to unlock new Researches (mods like Refined Storage or Create) and a Skill system that lets you unlock new Abilities and Talents as you level up.

2023.04.01 16:18 ChickenGasMachine 27 [M4F][M4T] Montreal - Tall alt guy seeking cute and level-headed partner.
I want to preface this by mentioning it's important for me that you be in the general area, just to be realistic. I'm not willing to do LDR.
I'd like to meet someone that's down to do stuff couples do, like laughing at horror movies together, attending concerts and events, eat out, try making a new recipe together and fucking it up, etc. You know, the regular.
I value mutual respect, honesty, straightforwardness, and the ability to agree to disagree on non impactful things.
Kinda got a thing for boyish girls, alt people, shorter people, taller than average women. None of that is a must, I like all kinds of people.
About myself: Physically speaking I am tall, brown haired with blue/green eyes. I wear glasses and sport a handful of tattoos.
I'm a apprentice of the trades while also being employed part time.
Interests vary depending on my latest hyper fixation. I dabble in digital art, am learning how to tattoo, and I repaimod electronics. I like to attend music shows on the weekend.
I speak both French and English.
If after you've read this thing I seem like a good time to you, don't hesitate to shoot a DM.

2023.04.01 16:18 Interesting-Word1628 Any movie depicting middle eastern politics from pre-1900s?
As the title suggests, I'm currently in my "history phase" of reading about middle eastern politics before WW1.
What's interesting to me is that many of these empires didn't really have any concrete rules of succession. That led to brothers fighting against each other and assassinating each other to gain the throne when their dad became sick/died. Many even attacked their dads with their own armies to proactively seize the throne.
These individual brothers were usually supported by individual ministers or tribal rulers who provided them with their army.
Anyway, looking for movie/tv shows showing politics during this era.

2023.04.01 16:17 Ozmahli Me (46F) my husband (44M) Just got married. What do I do??? TLDR
In last few months, I have become more and more aware of just how little my husband actually knows me. We have been together for 4 years, and spend every waking minute together when we are not at work. We decided to tie the knot last October when his job was relocating him to another state, and we thought it would be less stressful. We just did a quick visit to the courthouse. (We were both previously married for over 15 years to other ppl, but his wife passed and my ex-husband and I split amicably.)
Recently, when I bring up ANYTHING I am interested in or have a passion for, he just completely ignores me. I am a very co-operative person and I have always hated conflict. (I know. not healthy.) He goes on and on and on and on about his work day, at lunch when he is home, and after work, and even into the night. I go out of my way to be supportive and actively listen and ask questions. He is the only one working right now, as we share a car, so I am at home, in a new state, trying to navigate my own life. I have a thousand examples of him not caring about what makes me tick, or even how my day is. (He asks sometimes, but then walks away while I am talking, and doesn't respond.) I have been so patient blaming myself for not having more to say about what he likes, but last night was the last straw. He listens to heavy metal only. I love metal, but it is not the extent of my musical prowess. We watch movies every night that he picks, and I am pretty quick witted when it comes to discussing anything music and movies. I told him while we were watching "Yellowjackets," that ppl are saying this show is going to do for Tori Amos, what "Stranger Things," did for Kate Bush. He said, "Who?" I said, "Tori Amos." He said, "Never heard of it." Yeah, he said, "IT."
I AM OBSESSED WITH TORI AMOS. I brought my kids up on her, and my 28 year old son is even going to a concert of hers here pretty quick, which I told him about months ago. I sing her in the bathroom ALL THE TIME! And I have been to numerous concerts to see her. My daughter is named "CORI," because I didn't want to be too weird and call her Tori, but still like a tribute. He knows all of this. Like I said, this is one example, but at this point, it is like he is going out of his way to "NOT CARE." I am at my wits end, and there are so many other things wrong with this situation, I could write a friggin' dissertation on the matter. This example is probably futile, but it was like, REALLY? You haven't listened to me talk, like EVER? I am trying to get my socialization online, and go to social gatherings in the community when I can, so I am not bombarding him with MY crap all the time, but it is severely one sided, and my involvement in any relationships is discouraged, or ignored. I even bring up a variety of topics that he may find interest in, and it is like, "Talking to a Wall," as my junior high algebra teacher would put it. Any suggestions on how to navigate this without coming across like a whiny baby who wants her way. Pay Attention to Me!!! That is what I feel like when I think about bringing anything up. I am totally blaming myself for something ridiculous, right? Should I just ignore him and find friends online and in my community to socialize with? I am an idiot for even posting this. I feel so dumb, but it is an everyday occurrence, and seems to be getting worse. Thanks. :)

2023.04.01 16:16 Adventurous-Ear9433 The Serapeum at Saqqara: Center for the Serpent Wisdom,
A Serapeum was any temple/sanatorium dedicated to rhe God Serapis. Like the House of Spirit located not far, but utilized by only initiates of the Serpent cults. They had lots of "healing centers" or Pr-ANKH (house of Life), as it was an important part of everyday life. The latest proper usage was by Im-Hotep the greatest physician to date, and the Cult of Imhotep-Asclepius This photo .
Le Serapeum de Memphis shows stones stacked on top of the massive granite boxes ...
During The discovery of the Zawyet pyramid by
Alessandro Barsanti- zawyet pyramid he found the very same & had this to say "
They had spread over the lid a layer of lime, and over the lime a thick bed of well-spread clay, which entirely prevented it from contact with the limestone blocks stacked over it. I only noticed that the side walls were lined with a black band that was 0 meter and 10 centimeters in height. It is probably the very light deposit of some liquid enclosed in the vat as an offering or libation, and which would have evaporated over the years. It has been hypothesized that this tank was an unused sarcophagus, but I do not think so. The care with which it was protected, proves that it contained something, and the blackish deposit indicates the nature of this content. One would not have taken the precaution of concealing it under an enormous mass of blocks if it had been empty at that time."
You can see the
Crystal in this photo taken from the area, these boxes were not for burying anyone or anything. They symbolised life.
Photographic evidence of luminescent granite 2010 Granite under stress builds voltage potential on its surface. If the voltage is high enough, it ionizes the air around the surface, creating a glow. To show how the geophysical locations of megalithic architecture wasn't a coincidence , heres an example of harnessing energy from the serpentine lines of the mother Earth (Gaia).
Kenya Geothermal -
Phys EaLights Ramses 2nd son Khaemwaset who was responsible for restoration of the Serapeum was a constant researcher of the hidden principle of divine intelligence and the human capacity to rediscover it. Khaemweset ordered that a tunnel be excavated through the solid limestone bedrock, with side chambers designed to contain large granite "sarcophagi "weighing at least 70 tons.
I won't pretend to have any knowledge about construction whatsoever, our lineage have always been healers. the Engineers were the Serpent Priest of the Shakti Cult. Theres a reason India is recognized as the center of knowledge & the last remaining term from the once universal language 'Naga' is associated with India specifically. Today there are a handful of locations one can recieve the rites of initiation in the mystery schools (Khep-Ra In Burkina faso , West Africa, the Tibetan, Australian, and Malavali, India ) Naga are divided into four classes: heavenly, divine, earthly or hidden, depending upon their function.
Something interesting to note that im 1983 a Tru Stone Granite manufacturer acknowledged not having the capability to reproduce the boxes. Tru stone Capability interview Worlds leading Granite manufacturer The Serapeum has always been my favorite site in all of Egypt. Angkor Wat & Maltas Hypogeum are the 3 sites most fascinating because they were basically regional centers for learning the serpent wisdom. Naturally , they would also be healing centers which explains the research Dr Devereaux did in archeaoacoustics. He found the interior or 'Navel' resonates at a frequency of 111hz, which is shown to induce trance like-meditative states.
Ptah -A chthonic god, he reigns over the minerals in the depths of the Earth..With healing, of course is The use of monoatomic gold popularly known as Ormus. The use of the Elixir of Life, (Also '
shewbread, the ' sustenance of the Gods' ' said to promote 'life , longevity & immortality' is to be found anywhere in Egypt that you find the granite boxes. Barsanti pointed out the bottom of the vat had a black ring around it theorizing it once contained some type of liquid that was obviously worth preserving, Kings Chamber is no different. The Maya would call them 'Celestial Waters', its in the Pyramid of Fire Codex. Project Stargates Joe McMoneagle if youre familiar mentioned his OBE sessions would require laying 'in a black cube , on a bed of salts' , some of the large boxes in the Serapeum were for this very purpose.
I wont elaborate on this here im just gonna leave some research i think you'll find interesting.
Unzipping DNA gold These granite boxes were functional, as you can tell by the
lid being so heavy, it was to prevent breakage.
Mirror like finish The inside of the boxes were so level that they their accuracy was within 0.00005 inch, or 0.00127 mm, at least at the length of the gauge which was 14 inches long. he also found that the radius of the corners was very small: 5/32 inch, or 4 millimeters.
Acoustic Harmonic resonance. .
People saying "they just stacked rocks' couldn't be more clueless. These people would speak of the spirits in the stones, because they understood nature unlike today. Our spirituality speak of 5 elements, but instead of Earth we have 'mineral'.. like the Inca, we understand that our bones, not our brains, are the storage place of memory. In the West we have a saying: "I knew it in my bones", which refers to a deeper, more elemental knowing than is possible through rational thought. I wonder if those in Silicon Valley, who shave stones to their essence and put them in machines of memory, already know that stones have always managed information. Perhaps the modern world's fascination with the internet can be traced to this vast memory gap. Indigenous people don't look outside themselves they look within. Mineral people are story tellers. Our gift to society is that of remembering, through words and stories, one's origins and purpose ImHotep founded a medical school in Memphis named Asklepion. Here his cult would entertain the patients who would often stay for weeks. All of this was done in the belief that healing was a sacred art and that people’s souls needed to be mended as well as their bodies.Treatments included psychotherapy, massage, herbal remedies, mud and bathing treatments, surgeries and the drinking of water from the Springs. Energy healing only can be accomplished by the component healer, in harmony with the patient. This is the most difficult aspect of holistic healing practices.
The bull in connection with the heavens have been found, for example the palette from the pre-dynastic period of Naqada (4000-3000 BC). It was believed that the Apis contained the divine manifestation of the god Ptah, and later of Osiris. The Apis bull was the actual receptacle selected by the soul of Ptah to come and incarnate in our Earth density. When Osiris later absorbed the identity of Ptah, he symbolised life in death, that is to say, resurrection. The Osiris living in the underworld is also the Osiris of fertile vegetation, he who has conquered evil and death. . Thus the Babylonian god Ea was called "Serapsi", that is to say "King of the Depths", which also relates to our Egyptian Serapis.OSIRIS -
four chief aspects of Osiris were – Osiris-Phtah (Light), the spiritual aspect; Osiris-Horus (Mind), the intellectual manasic aspect; Osiris-Lunus, the “Lunar” or psychic, astral aspect; Osiris-Typhon, Diamonic, or physical, material, therefore passional turbulent aspect. In these for aspects he symbolizes the dual Ego – the divine and the human, the cosmico-spiritual and the terrestrial." Ive never read much of H.P. Blavatsky but i agree with this sentiment "Egyptian conception is the most suggestive and the grandest, as it embraces the whole range of physical and metaphysical thought…Thus the god is blended in man, and the man is deified into a god.”
God Ptah the Blue on top of head later was adopted by blacksmiths. The earliest legends of the history of India mention two dynasties now lost in the night of time; the first was the dynasty of kings, of “the race of the sun”, who reigned in Ayodhia (now Oude); the second that of the “race of the moon”, who reigned Pruyag (Allahabad).
- Found a diagram from which doesnt say but likely was discovered near the ancient wisdom center Harran, home of the Sabians/Nabateans who were of course nomadic priests spreading The Word’ and the word was the serpent. The ‘light’ that appeared was metaphorically defined as a serpent called ‘Kundalini’, coiled at the base of the spine to remain dormant in an unawakened person. Divinity or awakening one’s Godhood and latent abilities came with the rituals and teachings brought by the serpent people. "Hidden Book’ attributed to Hermes Trismegistus (1), a legendary sage-king of ancient Egypt who was believed to have mastered the secrets of occult sciences such as alchemy and to have recorded them in hieroglyphs on the walls of temples and tombs. The ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, last written nine centuries before al-‘Irāqī’s lifetime, were undecipherable to him and his contemporaries. Undeterred, and guided by the legend of Hermes Trismegistus, he gave the illustrated elements an alchemical interpretation. He refers to apparatus such as the distillation furnace (7) and the bain-marie (12), and to processes such as roasting (11) and blackening (2). Alchemical substances are referred to symbolically: the eagle (3, 4, 10) and the ‘intensely black’ raven (9) were widely employed as codes for sal ammoniac and for iron and/or lead, respectively. Diagram" - Serpent Wisdom
Apis - sign of Tanit - from the front represents the crescent moon (the horns), the sun (the disc that he was always adorned with) and the pyramid (his triangular snout). According to my favorite historian Sanchuniathon "the whole thing was represented by a person raising his arms in prayer to the heavens." The rites surrounding the Apis were considerable. There was even a rite of baptism practiced in Rome much later, when the cult of Apis gained much success. This ritual was very similar to the Christian one.
Serapis-Jesus 9 times out of 10, the Jesus Christ depiction you see is actually Serapis Emperor Hadrian, while traveling in Egypt in A.D. 24, declared in a letter to Servianus that the worshipers of Serapis were Christians and that the Bishops of the church also worshiped at his shrine. He even declared that the Patriarch himself, when in Egypt, was forced to adore Serapis as well as Christ.”
In Luxor, Serapis and his brothers, erected a new Temple of the Ascension, which was for endowing us with the “spark” of Christ Self, a divine particle of Fire - part of ourselves Ptah, the former Atum, demiurge, "creator of the World", "the one who shapes", who builds, "the Divine Architect of heaven and earth", "the possessor of creative fire." This is very simply the Kundalini serpent energy within the human body. Enoch said it, in Egypt Jesus obviously studied the mysteries(his teachings), seeing as though he quoted him quite heavily. the Shabaka Stone it is said that Ptah "brought the world into existence."
Worship of Serapis FYI:
ImHotep(Hotep- Peace & Food) & Asclepius were the same person. While gathering sources for this post, I found out that this is actually debated by academia today. The Greek knew the sanctity of Sounds & the power of language, more importantly they actually respected the rites taken Asclepius revered for his oracles at Abydos, was also known to be a magician of dreams - that's to say he inspired dreams that could then be interpreted. Egyptians were big on stylized representations of dieties, Shabti accompanied kings in death & most would have Bes in their bedroom. At the time dreams were seen as an important means of therapy, a fact that is essential for understanding the meaning of the Serapeum. In ancient times dreams were associated with healing and medicine Design was the Ankh cross with the central line split in two at the base, which some believe could be the Ankh sign of life in its very distant original form. A bull then as the symbol of life linked with the sky, linked with resurrection and better still, with ascension.
Dreams were important because this is when the astral returns to the higher self, "Night brings council " is a French saying that sums up the belief here. They considered that a dream symbol gave rise to a different meaning depending on the person. Each person was considered to have their own dream language and detailed work was done on the images and emotions of the patient. But Asclepius did not work only with the priests of his cult, he was assisted by a horde of snakes. Non-venomous snakes slithered all over the floor of the dormitories during the night and were believed to be divinities who mediated between Asclepius and the patient.
Because of the way they shed their skins, snakes were a symbol of rebirth and resurrection. ( word "life" in Chaldean is the same as for "snake", and in Arabic) It was rule, the snake had the reputation of being "invigorating" and bringing eternal youth and immortality. Not just the act itself but Asclepius had a reputation for knowing how to administer doses of poison and antidote, including snake venom, with such skill that he was able to bring the dead back to life. He was known in antiquity to be a master of resurrection thanks to his snakes. The Hopi & Dogon both use snakes in various ritual today when he was transformed into a constellation it was that of Ophiuchus, the serpent bearer.
The symbolism of snake is wisdom, health, and esoteric knowledge.
Ive spoken already about the dolichocephalous skulls found within Mayan temples, and in the ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt. These are the Shining Ones. They had the Knowledge. At Council of Nicea that ‘the powers of gods came from Egypt’. There was a Great White Brotherhood (named for their raiment), a prominent mystery school in Karnak. A branch of it became the Egyptian Therapeutate who in Judea were known as the Essenes. Jesus, being an Essene, most likely was initiated in Egypt at this mystery school, rising up the levels until he became a ‘Master’.
There were hundreds discovered in the Hypogeum, later they were stolen from the Maltese museum. Yet again, desecration of our ancestors to protect a narrative.
Maltas elongated Skullsthese skulls belonged to a profoundly wise culture of ‘serpent priests’. The long head must have given a serpent like appearance stretching the eyes and skin. Personally, I think people should stay away from sites such as this which still are held sacred to this day.
Professor Walter B. Emery, an Egyptologist, discovered some dolichocephalous skulls, in Egypt. Emery believed that this ‘race’ was highly dominant aristocracy that governed entire Egypt, mixing only with the aristocratic classes and the scholar associated them with the Shemsu Hor, the disciples of Horus.

2023.04.01 16:14 blegoo94 28 [M4F] St. Louis, MO - Hi. I have Asperger's and I'm interested in finding a relationship.
Hey there! My name is Ryan and I'm from St. Louis, Missouri. I'm looking for a long term relationship; the "until death do us part" kind of relationship. I am 100% monogamous and I don't want that to ever change. I know physical attractiveness is important, so
here is a picture of me. I'm 6'0", bearded, bald, and with a smile to light up your day!
So you're probably mostly interested in my title. I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome when I was 20 years old.
My biggest symptom is that my ability to socialize is pretty shit. I'm just a pretty quiet person.
Most people would not guess that I have Asperger's because for one I am already very high functioning in comparison to most people with it. Second, I have been masking my traits for so long by not talking a lot that being 'the quiet guy' has just become natural to me.
Whenever I do talk, it's like everything goes through a subconscious filter in my head and I do a pretty good job at seeming neurotypical because of it.
If you're wondering if being in a relationship with me means that you have to be some kind of caretaker, you won't. I am 100% independent. I currently live alone half way across the US from family, work full time as a lead, pay my own bills, drive my own car, have my own hobbies, etc..
If you're also wondering if I would be communicative in a relationship, the answer is very much yes.
I've never been in a serious relationship before. The closest thing I have been in is a LDR and had a couple FWBs. I suck at talking to people. Woman or not lol. I was recently hit on at a club (I don't normally go to clubs. It was with an engagement party.), and I didn't realize it until she left. Stuff like this happens at my work too sometimes. Point is to further show that I am socially inept.
I've been typically described as kind, smart, gentle, sweet, caring, compromising, affectionate, clingy (in a healthy way), and loyal. I've taken the love language test before and I found that I love physical touch and quality time spent together. Sex, cuddling, kissing, and hand holding while spending plenty of time together will make me the happiest boyfriend in the world!
Some indoor hobbies I enjoy are PC gaming, programming, listening to music, watching movies/shows/anime. And some outdoor hobbies/activities I enjoy (especially with someone else) are going for walks, working on some kind of DIY project, going out to eat, and going to the park. Honestly I just spend most of my free time coding. I'd like to say I'm too mature for memes but then I end up seeing them every day on reddit.
Some qualities I value would be a good emotional intelligence, the time and ability to put effort into getting to know me, and just being a genuinely kind person. I've found that I can get along very well with extroverted people because they can counteract my quiet nature easily, or introverted people that have similar hobbies.
Other about-me stuff you may find important: I am politically liberal, atheist, and super non judgmental.
An LDR is not entirely out of the question for me. If you really believe that we are a great match, then let's chat. I would prefer you are in the US though.

2023.04.01 16:14 Spigiras Why do people compare Red Alert and Puss in Boots 2?
For a few days, I've been seeing posts or videos about how Puss in Boots 2 is greater than Turning Red because it's not "cringe" and "woke". (Just as a notice, I loooove Puss in Boots 2 and I consider it one the best movies of last year, and I also liked a lot Turning Red but at a lesser extent.)
And it makes me wonder if these people watched more than 20min of Turning Red because it goes far in its themes and relationships. It is a very moving movie about family members creating distance between each other. One of the most recurring critics of Turning Red is that it is "woke". And it makes no sense because it is one of the Pixar movies that has no homosexual relationships (one line or one shot is not really what I call putting at the front a gay relationship). The only thing "woke" about this movie is that it's centred around a teenager discovering what life she wants to live and her relationship with her mother. Also, there is a teenage boy that acts as a bully and then as a group fanboy. His main problem is apparently not being a badass like the Wolf. Basically, once again, people are using the word "woke" for no reason at all.
Moreover, people compare Pixar and Dreamworks in terms of quality, saying that Dreamworks makes better movies than Pixar. I agree that Nice Guys and Puss in Boots 2 (the best-animated movie of the year IMO) are very good. However, it means ignoring that from 2020 to 2022, Dreamworks has not released a movie remotely close to Nice Guys or Puss in Boots 2 in terms of quality. Nonetheless, this clearly shows that Dreamworks is taking a new approach, and I only wish they keep their efforts to make excellent movies in the future. On the other hand, Pixar has been consistent in quality since 2015. Sure, not all their movies are masterpieces, but they are good at the very least (with the exception of Lightyear, I found meh). I hope Dreamworks will keep producing excellent movies and for Pixar to produce movies with qualities comparable to their earlier works. Also, saying Dreamworks is making Puss in Boots 2 for art rather than for money is a misunderstanding a lot of how studios work. As long as the movies make profits, all is good for the executives (which also includes Pixar's productions).
To summarize, I think many people are comparing the two studios because it is "cool" since there is "blood" and "death" in one place (which is really reducing the qualities of the movie to what a teenager would love while it offers so much more), and the exploration of concepts and relationships in the other. And it makes no sense to compare Turning Red and Puss in Boots 2 because they fit into different genres. I wish people would just appreciate movies for what they are without comparing them for no reason at all. You may not like Turning Red, but stop saying it's because it's woke when it clearly is not.

2023.04.01 16:14 Adventurous-Ear9433 The Serapeum at Saqqara: Purpose, history, center for the Serpent wisdom

I wont elaborate on this here im just gonna leave some research i think you'll find interesting.

lid being so heavy, it was to prevent breakage.

If I remember correctly it was some people who were friends in high school, they are introduced into internet sex cam shows. There was one scene where a girl is described as having “ghost nipples” lol. Towards the end of the movie they are doing a cam show in a big house and someone breaks in and kills them, I think they knew the killer but I’m not sure. Sound familiar to anyone?

2023.04.01 16:11 MotherofAsh19 Missing my (29F) ex fiancé (30M) and my little family like crazy today.
Just like the title says. I was in a nine year relationship with my (29F) now ex fiancé (30M). We have a toddler together and two days after separating I found out I’m pregnant with our second child. We were always toxic, both of us suffering from mental illness and not having great role models for love growing up. But one thing we did have was love, connection, and passion.
My ex found out recently that he is manic bipolar (we always knew but he never did much to get help). He also has severe depression and anxiety. He is like two different people and always has been. One half of him is so sweet, helpful, kind, selfless, fun, silly, etc. The other half is extremely lazy, scary, selfish, rude, unhelpful, etc. and I never knew who I’d wake up to the next day. I also have a lot of issues with not seeing my worth, low self-esteem, and I can be incredibly selfish too.
We separated because our arguments were becoming worse and worse. It seemed like we always fought. I have so many resentments towards him for things he did to me in the past and because I never healed from those, I just became bitter. I stopped showing him love and affection. I stopped giving him compliments or spending time with him. I started sleeping in our sons bed most nights. We were planning to date after we separated considering I’m pregnant again, but living in separate houses. However, after a couple months I found out he’d been snapchatting a lot with his nineteen year old coworker. I want to believe it’s an innocent friendship like he swears, but at age 30 it’s hard to believe. I told him I wanted to be done for good.
He started a texting argument with me on my last ultrasound a few days ago. He begged for me to not give up on this. He’s been going to therapy and taking medication for his bipolar. But because of his bipolar, the argument went from begging to telling me he hates me when I wouldn’t agree to get back together. When he is hurt, he lashes out like crazy. Not physical, but he definitely has scary manic episodes where he paces and says hurtful things and threatens suicide. I would give anything to never have to see one of those manic episodes again.
I just don’t know how to feel. Just yesterday I felt so confident in my decision. I was done with the relationship and ready to move on. But I woke up today, Missing my family so much. I miss getting up on Saturdays and all of us going to the farmers market or looking at thrift stores. I miss taking our son to go fishing. I miss coming back and curling up to watch a movie with my ex. I miss being intimate with him. And even though I know how toxic relationship was, and how much I regret having my son around that I can’t help but wonder if I’m giving up too soon. I can’t help but wonder if the medication will help him. He’s also finally going back to school, and money was a huge issue in our relationship as he called into work a lot and doesn’t make much money at his job. I do think that he’s been severely depressed for years and because of my resentments towards him, I never took it seriously. Because really, things were great most of the time. But when they were bad…they were really bad.
I don’t really know what advice I’m looking for. The crazy thing is, I know that we had so many issues and so many things that we were different on. I know how much he hurt me in the past but yet there’s a part of me that can’t help, but wonder if we could’ve worked out in the end. We spent so many years talking about all of the things that could’ve helped our relationship, but neither of us actually implemented those things. I’m wondering if I shouldn’t have completely given up yet. My son is definitely getting more undivided attention which is great, but he also keeps asking when we’re all going to live together again.
My deepest fear though, is getting back together and after a while things going back to how they were and me regretting coming back. Having to put my son through another separation. I just feel sick over it all.

2023.04.01 16:11 blue-hibiscus gale has to die in scream 7 if it’s the last movie
almost all events following the initial murder of maureen prescott is because of gale weathers and her sensationalism of the news. the scream series has stood the test of time bc of its insightful criticism of how violence spreads and transfers. the media, whether it be social sites, the news, podcasts (scream the series), books, and movies, legitimize and spread violence. it’s what encourages copycat murders, lead people to forums that engage with even more extreme forms of violence ie snuff films or seek fame through murder. if the series is to end with scream 7, then it would make sense that gale dies. she wrote the woodsboro murders and i believe first reported on maureen’s death. the last movie would also be a great opportunity to show how far it’s gone, with all the ‘movies’ made by past killers of murders they’ve committed.

2023.04.01 16:07 joeg235 Suggested CPU upgrade for RTX 4080 for Cyberpunk @ 4K
I currently have a Ryzen 9 3900x/B450 mobo and RTX 3070. I am starting to get into playing cyberpunk at 4K on my TV. Can't push the settings real high but gamesplays OK. MSI Afterburner shows GPU at 99% and CPU around 20%. I am also interested in running Last Of Us as well as other games, like F1 22, as I'm getting into 4K TV playing, after playing only PCVR. The 3900x + 3070 was able to easily handle the PCVQuest combo.
My question: I recently purchased an RTX 4080 and wonder what CPU will fit my mobo and not throttle the 4080. Some sites say I need a 5950x, others say I can get by with a 5600x.
I am thinking about upgrading to a 4090 later in the year, but would upgrade the CPU/Mobo/RAM/PSU at that time.
Thanks!

2023.04.01 16:07 Porchjob 30 [M4F] Connecticut - Looking for someone to talk/connect with
Im a 30 year old male and I'm hoping to find someone to talk and maybe connect with. Truthfully, I've had some past medical trauma that really closed me off and effected me talking/opening up with women. I've been told I'm attractive but have had horrible luck with the social part so I am trying to work on that.
I love laughing and the warm weather or overall just being outside, exploring the CT coast, boating, fishing, beaches, concerts/shows. I like to watch sports and movies as well. I try to be a positive person and find the humor in life. I work as a civil engineer and would love to learn a bit about you. Lets chat!
